The audio on this page plays automatically and may be controlled at the bottom of the page.
Did you remember to turn your speakers on and to check your volume control?
First, if you need the Quicktime plug-in, use this link It's FREE
As of 2/5/05, technology has changed. As of now, you MUST HAVE A BROADBAND CONNECTION AND (usually) WINDOWS. Additionally, you must have external speakers. That's because the audio for external speakers is fed off the PC's sound card and not off the PC's buss that feeds the tiny internet speaker, whos only real function is to "beep". All code is optimized for Microsoft Internet Explorer (MSIE)
IF you are behind a FIREWALL or a LAN: Firewalls typically prevent streaming and video from coming through. To allow it, you must temporarily turn off your Firewall or speak to your Network Administrator.
Note that Email or "A-mail" sent to a service like Yahoo doesn't work due to Yahoo's internal filters.
Streaming audio begins automatically (for most). The code is produced on a Windows PC but some Mac users now hear it as well.
It is a fact that Electrically amplified speakers work MUCH better! We like Altec-Lansing (WITH the sub-woofer) speakers at the moment. We have used them for 10+ years with great satisfaction. Our pair only cost about $30.00, cheap!
Q. = Who can't hear?
A. = Mac users (sometimes), people with Web-TV, UNIX users, people behind "firewalls" and a very few others. Generally, these days we're just streaming MP3 files so if your PC can play an MP3, you should get the audio unless you're behing a firewall.
Many people (in offices) do not want audio and don't have speakers anyway. IF they have speakers, often they are not good ones.
It's a well established fact that today, about 94%+ of Netizens use Microsoft Windows. I'm advised that Naionwide, 65%+ of the installed user base has a broadband Internet connection. That represents a HUGE audience. The days of the silent Internet are over and the "talkies" have arrived!
Sometimes streaming media simply stops at inappropriate moments, then starts up on its own. This is usually an ISP issue. The bandwidth you bought is temporarily unavailable or you may be paying too much. Sometimes, ISPs also sell more capacity than they can deliver, Sadly, this is a common poblem.
